Balian Beach, A Hidden Gems In Northern Bali

Beautiful beaches make the best part of Bali. There are numerous beaches in Bali that become favorite destination for tourists coming from all over the world. Without a doubt, those tourists will go to the beach, making it fully packed with people. Although it’s beautiful, you won’t enjoy much of your time at the beach if it’s too crowded. You don’t need to worry. Bali still has other beaches where you can enjoy your holiday without getting disturbed by those crowds. Indeed, this paradise island has some hidden gems. Some beautiful yet unpopular beaches are still uncovered by tourists. Why do you waste your time at those crowded beach when you can enjoy your time at some nice and quiet beach?

You might never find one those these hidden beaches if you ask to other fellow tourists. Save your time and ask to some local Balinese people. Balian beach is only one of those hidden gems in Bali. This beach is quite far from popular beach. It takes 90 minutes drive to the north of Seminyak, so it’s around 1,5 hours from Kuta. The place is quite stranded and quiet. 

However, the beach is perfect for relaxing. Located in Balian village, which is relatively small, this beach doesn’t get much of visitor throughout the year. You can take long walk along the beach as there won’t be much of people that bother you. There won’t be much of street vendors at this beach. Although this beach is quite remote from popular tourist destination, it doesn’t mean that you don’t have much activities to do there. Other than spending your days to walk along the beach, you can watch local fishermen casting their nets. The waves at Balian beach is perfect for surfing. You can also join yoga session at one of yoga retreat at this beach. You can also take a long walk at the palm groves and rice paddys. There’s also small temple called Purah Rambat Siwi that you can visit while you are there.

You don’t need to worry about accommodation at Balian. There are some good small hotels and villas around this beach offering nice place to stay at good price. Balian itself means sacred. It perfectly describe this place. It may take a long drive to reach Balian beach, but it truly worth it. If you want to escape from the bustling lifestyle at big city, Balian beach becomes the perfect destination to lose your tension for a couple of days.
