Learning Ancient Culture and Tradition at Desa Panglipuran Bali

One of interesting attractions when you are visiting Bali is the villagers. It seems that the villagers keep their culture from the ancient. For your reference, you can just visit a specific village in Bali known as Desa Panglipuran. There are several interesting parts you need to know if you walking around this village.

The Interesting Facts about Desa Panglipuran

This village is located on Kubu sub-district, Bangli, Bali. One of the special characteristics of Desa Panglipuran is on its architecture. The architecture of this village is well managed from the front of the village up to the end of the village. Moreover, this village has a unique gate which is used as the front gate of the village. The name of the gate is angkul-angkul. Each of the houses within this village has the same type of gate as the front gate. The structure is not built without any meaning. In fact, they are using an ancient philosophy namely Tri Hita Karana. In short, this village is built harmonious with the surrounding. Just go there and feel the tidiness, clean, and freshness of the air. Definitely, the people around there are very kind of visitors. The most special is that this village has received Kalpataru Awards from Indonesian Government. It is really a must place to visit.

The Way to Get to Desa Panglipuran

You can go to Desa panglipuran from I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport. You need to spend for about 120 minutes from this airport to the village. It will be closer if you start the exploration from Denpasar. If you choose to rent a motorcycle, you just need to spend 60 minutes to get there. Don’t worry with the parking area especially if you driving your own car or motorcycle. This is because Desa Panglipuran has a large parking area to welcome visitors. Of course, later you have to take a walk but it is good because you can enjoy the best panorama of the village while relaxing your body and mind from the traffic and crowded. Because they really keep tradition it is a must for you to follow their culture so you can enjoy your journey around Desa Panglipuran. Don’t get surprise if you will see house from different type of materials from your house. The most important thing is that it is a must to bring your camera because there will be a lot of beautiful objects or moments you can shoot.
