Pura Tanah Lot (Tanah Lot Temple)
Tanah Lot Temple is probably the most famous Balinese temple. The temple is situated in the beautiful Tanah Lot that stands
on a rock just off the shore. The best view that you can get from Tanah Lot is
at sunset, where the picture is often taken to be in a postcard. The temple is
believed to be built by a priest who lived in the 15th century. Tanah lot is nowadays considered to
be one of the most important temples in Bali. The temple once went through
restoration that cost more than a million dollars to keep it from falling into
the sea.
